Wailin' Gnash Acoustic is primarily cover tunes, written by some of the greatest artists in Country, Rock and blues. Some great hits, some deeper cuts, just good listening music. Even things that you can sing along with. And THAT is really the point of Wailin' Gnash Acoustic. To bring friends and folks together to have a good time, and to provide some great tunes.

Wailin' Gnash Acoustic is my (Chris Hughes) solo acoustic gig. I will play some of the original music in its original acoustic form from time to time, but that isn't the focus. This is a "fun supplement" to the Randy Hulsey/Chris Hughes Duo and Wailin' Gnash Recording. The point is to play MORE MUSIC not LESS.

Chris Hughes Texas Music is kind of an "umbrella" for all of my musical "stuff". It provided the perfect name for my website. But, while Wailin' Gnash began as a strictly original platform for my own music, the original music is nearing 100,000 streams. It just seemed to make sense to utilize the Wailin' Gnash branding for Wailin' Gnash Acoustic.

I carry an excellent, top quality sound system. Volume is never an issue. Whether in a restaurant setting, a laid-back lounge, sports bar, or your PRIVATE PARTY.

The songlist below is not an "all-inclusive" list but gives a good representation of what I currently play, and the type of tunes you are likely to hear.

I welcome working with other players doing song swaps, multi-artist shows, etc.

I will also look forward to opportunities to host or co-host some acoustic open-mic type shows should your bar or venue be looking for a new promotion. I have 45+ years of professional playing experience in bands, duos, and as a solo performer in original and cover acts. I guarantee a professional performance.

I am REALLY looking forward to making some new friends with this venture, and to get out and share music with more folks.
