That is pretty much the whole post.

I had to stumble across this helpful nugget while recording our latest tune and attempting to use one of the many amp sims I have. Im not crazy about them to begin with, but guitar sounds in recording can be deceiving. What seems like a really shit tone will actually lay in a mix really well.

All that being said, when I was showing an audio round trip of 7.80 ms, I still have latency that was just too much to bear. No amount of adjustments to buffer size, etc helped.

I had reached out to AI for answers. It gave me a lot of the standard stuff. Then I remembered I had the Sonarworks ID Reference software running!!

I turned it off, and the system monitoring for my amp sims came to life! So, a couple of things -

Does it ever seem like getting people to come record is more difficult than you thought? I used to think people would LEAP at the opportunity. I do not believe that anymore.
